Please, let me introduce the Garland clan. Arthur and Carrie have been in my life as long as I can remember.
One memory stands out more than others, though. 🙂
After a Saturday night service at church, when I was about 11 years old, I started to walk out to the car by myself. It was dark, but I saw Art and Carrie near the entrance, smiling big. Others came up to them, and I heard “We’re engaged!” Carrie was showing off her ring, and they looked so happy. Her ring was the first engagement ring I ever noticed.
And now, 4 girls later, are they amazing or what?!
